How To Develop Confidence
Speaking confidently in front of crowds takes practice. It’s a skill that needs to be developed like a muscle.
Practice speaking slower. This gives you time to think before you speak and avoid fumbling on your works. If you speak slower, you can think clearly about what you’re saying and how to say it!!
Stand up straight and tall. Push your shoulders back and relax your arms. Hunching and covering your face shows nerves. Your physical appearance in presentations matters too! If you cover your face or cross your legs you will look nervous and distract yourself.
Imagine what you are saying is really important. If you speak with purpose and enthusiasm, your words will hold more value to the other person. Believe what you’re saying is important. Believe in the purpose of your words. If you’re already bored by what you’re talking about so will your listeners!
Myth: You need to be born with confidence.
