How To Be A Strong Leader

Grow your team and yourself. A strong leader can fuel growth from their team by first starting with themselves. Your commitment to learning about personal growth makes an environment where everyone can be openly themselves.

Teach rather than tell. Even though people are good at why they do, often times you may have a vision for the goal that’s different from other people’s vision. If you teach and give direction this helps get everyone on the same page.

Know when to step back and when to step up. This takes time and experience to learn. There should be a balance between taking charge and supporting the team. Stepping back and supporting when they need it or stepping up and showing direction is key.

Act and follow through on good ideas quickly. Strong leaders put their pride away and recognize good ideas wherever or whoever they come from. Following through on these ideas till completion is important to ensure things get done in time and aren’t open ended projects forever.

Experience your best self. Being a strong leader is a great competency to have under your belt. You will be able to take charge of any situation that comes with confidence and compassion. Let’s keep it real and share our journeys.
